Every car enthusiast knows at least one famous auto show in the world, which is held annually in this or that part of the planet. The annual Los Angeles Auto Show was no exception, and 2018 brought a large number of concept, production models to be expected soon. The exhibition opened its doors November 30 and will last until December 9 inclusive, as shown by annual statistics, for these 10 days there will be enough time to get acquainted with all the exhibits. The only exception to the Los Angeles exhibition were journalists in the press day format; they were the first to see the concepts and production models from November 26 to 29, thereby being the first to present the latest news in the automotive world.

As a good tradition, the Los Angeles Convention Center became the venue for the auto show in Los Angeles. According to experts, this is one of the three large-scale auto exhibitions in the United States, along with the Detroit auto show and the New York auto show. As you already know, the exhibition delighted car lovers not only with new products for the American market and previously exposed novelties in China and Europe, but also with completely new production models prepared specifically for the auto show in Los Angeles.

First, let's take a look at what prototypes and concepts were presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The first is the prototype of the electric sports car Audi e-tron GT, which the German company specially developed and brought for this auto show. The peculiarity of this prototype is that it is capable of charging up to 80% in just 12 minutes. Although there is a "But!", This will require a proprietary super powerful 350 kW charging station. The station was also brought to the Los Angeles auto show, but in practice no one tested it.

Chinese manufacturer BYTON Technology did not stand aside, presenting two of its electric cars at the Los Angeles auto show. At the same time, both copies are almost ready for mass production, these models were presented under the name M-Byte (crossover) and K-Byte (4-door sedan).

Japanese cars were represented by Mitsubishi Motors, also presenting a prototype of a compact, electric crossover called the e-Evolution Concept. The novelty is expected to be a good success, since the characteristics are quite acceptable in comparison with the build quality and functionality.

Serial new cars 2019-2020 at the auto show in Los Angeles were much more diverse. Despite the fact that some of them have already appeared at separate exhibitions in China and Europe, they have attracted no less attention. The honorable opening of the auto show fell into the hands of Audi and BMW, this time they brought a lot of new products to the overseas exhibition. Audi has unveiled the production model of the sporty R8 Coupe and the more charged R8 Spyder. The Bavarians were more diverse, at the same time at the Los Angeles auto show they presented the flagship BMW X7 SUV, the new BMW X3M and X4M models, the powerful three M340i (374 hp), the modern BMW Z4 roadster, as well as the new 8-Series Coupe. Convertible and M8. These models were eager to see many, especially the new X7.

The owners of the Los Angeles auto show also did not stand aside, the American car manufacturers Ford, Lincoln and Chevrolet presented their production models. In particular, Chevrolet showed the revived Blazer crossover, although only one name remained from the previously known model. Ford showed off the new Explorer, and Lincoln showed off the already famous Aviator family SUV. In the meantime, the most anticipated model at the Los Angeles show, the new Jeep Gladiator pickup, has arrived, and South Korean carmakers have been able to attract as much attention as others. So Hyundai and Kia presented their serial novelties, one might even say an army of new products. Hyundai has unveiled a new generation of the Genesis G90 sedan and the new Hyundai Palisade 7-seater crossover. Kia presented a co-platform Kia Telluride, as well as the third generation of the youth SUV Soul with an internal combustion engine and an electric motor (Soul EV).

Given that such brands have introduced their new production models, it would be ugly to lag behind manufacturers such as Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mazda. They also prepared their new products for the auto show in Los Angeles, although, unlike their predecessors, they practically did not show them before. Honda has brought an all-new Passport crossover to the Los Angeles auto show. Other brands brought the Lexus LX Inspiration Series, the charged Nissan Maxima sports sedan, the new generation Mazda 3, the Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid hybrid crossover, the stylish Toyota Avalon TRD and Camry TRD sedans, and the all-new Toyota Corolla generation (sedan and Hybrid).

The next platform at the Los Angeles Auto Show was taken over by British manufacturers. The famous Land Rover presented a new, second generation of the compact crossover Range Rover Evoque. Next to it took the position of the McLaren Speedtail hypercar with a hybrid installation, with a total capacity of 1,050 horses. The show in Los Angeles was not without the German brand Porsche, this time the company presented a restyled version of the compact Porsche Macan, as well as a completely new generation of Porsche 911 (factory index 992).

Closes the list of well-known brands presented at the Los Angeles auto show, the Swedish-Chinese brand Volvo. A new generation of the S60 sedan was presented at the exhibition, as well as a new generation of the station wagon with all-wheel drive Volvo V60 Cross Country. We can say that this is the minimum list of what was presented at the Los Angeles auto show, it is even better to note that these are the most anticipated car novelties in the world, information and disputes about which have been circulating on the Internet for several months.

The 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show has once again brought a host of new products, some of which will start selling in the coming days. Manufacturers not only showed the world in which direction engineers and designers will work, but also what the cars of the future will be like. After all, every car enthusiast remembers that the production model is based on one of the previously presented concepts or prototypes.
