Despite the fact that the new Hyundai Kona crossover was opened back in 2017, and was officially presented in 2018 at the Geneva Auto Show, almost a year later the car reached Ukraine. According to information from Hyundai in Ukraine, starting from November 2019, pre-orders for a new crossover have started. To date, the manufacturer has fully opened the list of characteristics, configuration and prices. In total, 4 basic configurations were brought to the Ukrainian market. According to the manufacturer, the new B-class crossover is being assembled in South Korea.
The new Hyundai Kona, reaching Ukraine, did not undergo external changes. The front of the crossover is still adorned with a 6-angle radiator grille, which is called the Cascading Grille. Crossover optics consist of several layers. As a rule, LED daytime running lights are installed on top, the main optics are slightly lower in the center. The new crossover received small overhangs, front and rear, this is a plus for cross-country ability. To give a sporty character to the new Hyundai Kon, a plastic body kit was added around the perimeter of the crossover. You can paint the body of the new Hyundai in one of 11 shades, and you can also choose the shade of the roof.

The basic set of Hyundai Kona for Ukraine includes the ABS, ESC, DBC and HAC systems. Also installed 6 airbags, 16 ″ alloy wheels, updated climate control, as well as an anti-fogging system for the windshield. To help the driver, cruise control, heated front seats, a steering wheel, as well as heated and adjustable side mirrors, light and rain sensors are installed.
The second and third configurations, Dynamic and Express, received a complete list of basic configurations, and also added 17 "alloy wheels, a modern multimedia system with a 7" display (with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay). Additionally, there were tire pressure sensors and a rear-view camera. Finally, we have the top-end configuration of the Hyundai Kona Elegance. The list of functions has been expanded with adaptive cruise control, engine start button, modern smart key and wireless control from a smartphone. The display of the multimedia system is now 8 ″, and the instrument panel received a 4.2 ″ color display.

Despite modern developments and the attitude of the new Hyundai Kon to the class of crossovers, the car in Ukraine is only front-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive versions are available in other countries. Rumor has it that over time, a hybrid or all-electric version of this model may be officially brought to Ukraine.
